A Run Round-Up at SkiBig3: Powder, Trees & Perfect Turns

With three world class resorts, SkiBig3 offers a dream lineup of terrain for all abilities. Whether you're hunting for powder stashes, weaving through glades, or cruising perfectly groomed blues, there's a perfect run waiting for you. Here’s your guide to some of the best runs across Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise, and Mt. Norquay.

Powder Stashes: Deep Turns & Fresh Lines

Banff Sunshine – Bye Bye Bowl
On a powder day, Bye Bye Bowl is a must. Sitting just off the Great Divide chair, this wide open alpine bowl holds fresh snow long after a storm. Bonus: it straddles the Alberta to B.C. border, so you can ski two provinces in one run.

Lake Louise – West Bowl
For deep snow and wide open turns, West Bowl is a game changer. Now more accessible than ever thanks to the new Pipestone Express heated bubble chair, this area offers incredible terrain with fresh powder long after a storm.

Mt. Norquay – Black Magic (off Mystic Express)
For a powder stash at Norquay, head to Black Magic off the Mystic Express. This run often catches wind blown snow and stays soft longer than other areas of the resort.

Tree Runs: Weaving Through the Glades

Banff Sunshine – Gladerunner (Goat’s Eye)
For well spaced glades and deep snow, Gladerunner off Goat’s Eye is an ideal pick. It’s a fantastic choice on storm days when visibility is lower, but the snow is stacking up.

Lake Louise – Ptarmigan Trees
The Ptarmigan Trees off the Ptarmigan Chair are perfect for intermediate tree skiers, offering widely spaced glades and natural snow pockets.

Mt. Norquay – Knight Flight Glades
For a playful, well spaced glade run, Knight Flight Glades provides the perfect balance of challenge and flow. It’s a great option for those looking to take their tree skiing to the next level.

Must Ski Blue Runs: The Best Intermediate Terrain

Banff Sunshine – World Cup Downhill
Off the new Super Angle LX Heated Bubble Chair this open descent blue run is perfect for intermediate skiers looking for smooth turns and great views.

Lake Louise – Juniper & Sunset Terrace
A go to blue at Lake Louise, Juniper is a fun, rolling trail that provides a perfect balance of speed and control. If you’re looking for fresh morning corduroy, Sunset Terrace off the Top of the World Chair is a great pick.

Mt. Norquay – Spirit Traverse to Rollercoaster
For a smooth, flowy blue run at Norquay, try Spirit chair to Abracadabra. It’s a great confidence booster with plenty of space to carve.

Beginner Friendly: Easy Cruising & Confidence Boosters

Banff Sunshine – Rock Isle Road
For a long, scenic green run, Rock Isle Road offers a gentle cruise through stunning alpine terrain. It’s a great way to soak in the beauty of Sunshine Village while building confidence.

Lake Louise – Wiwaxy
A classic beginner friendly run, Wiwaxy starts at the top of the Glacier Express and offers a wide, winding descent with breathtaking views.

Mt. Norquay – Cascade
If you’re new to skiing or just looking for a smooth ride, Cascade is a gentle, forgiving run with plenty of space to practice.
