Mt. Norquay Opens Its Slopes November 16, 2024 
 

Today, Mt. Norquay officially kicks off the 2024/25 ski season as the final SkiBig3 resort to open! Just a short 10 minute drive from the Town of Banff, Norquay is welcoming skiers and snowboarders back to the slopes for another unforgettable season. 

With the mountain ready to go, Norquay is set to offer stunning views, thrilling runs, and, of course, that first chair excitement.

First Tracks on the Mountain

Opening day at Mt. Norquay brings together an exciting crowd of locals and visitors eager to carve the first tracks of the season. Anticipation fills the air as skiers and snowboarders gather at 9am to secure their place on the first chair of the season. As of this morning, the Cascade Chair was up and running, offering a well groomed Cascade run perfect for early season laps.  
 
Inside the Cascade Lodge, the buzz continues as guests refuel and prepare for more runs. The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect place to warm up, grab a bite, and soak in the energy of opening day. Whether you're just starting your day on the mountain or taking a break between laps, Cascade Lodge is the heart of the action as Norquay kicks off another season.

Looking Ahead

With Mt. Norquay starting off their season, the excitement only builds from here as more terrain opens up including new glading throughout the resort for guest to enjoy more tree skiing and riding. As snow continues to fall and conditions improve, Norquay will gradually roll out additional runs and lifts, offering even more opportunities to explore.  Each SkiBig3 resort offers its own unique mountain experience, and the season is off to a promising start at Norquay.
